Air cooled
heat exchangers, double pipe type heat exchangers, plate and
frame heat exchangers. The principle of operation is simple
enough: Two fluids of different temperatures are brought into
close contact but they are not mixing with each other. One fluid
runs through the tubes, and another fluid flows over the tubes
(through the shell) to transfer heat between the two fluids.
